COPS Citizens On Patrol - Citizens helping Police by being its eyes and ears. COPS assists with event parking, lost child searches, education of citizen's about safety and many other activities.

VIPS - Volunteers in Police Service
This is one of the Citizen Corps which is part of the USA Freedom Corps initiative. It is administrated by the U.S. Department of Justice. The goal of VIPS is to provide support for resource-constrained law enforcement agencies by tapping civilian volunteers to supplement their community's law enforcement professionals in order to free up officers for frontline duty.

The mission of the National Citizens Police Academy Association is "To promote the professional development of information, instruction, guidance and assistance to Public Safety Agencies and Citizens involved or interested in the Citizens Police Academy concept."
